Frequently Asked Questions

Please click the questions below to reveal the answers.

Please have your group gather under the metal octopus sculpture on the wall just past the front doors. Have the group leader check in at the front desk to let us know everyone is here.

Private cars may park on Stearns Wharf (parking is free for the first 90 minutes). Buses may not enter the dolphin statue roundabout or drive onto Stearns Wharf so please instruct your bus to drop-off at the Chase Palm Park parking lot located at the intersection of Garden and Cabrillo (right next to the skate park along the ocean). Following drop-off, your group will need to walk to the Sea Center (generally takes around 10 to 15 minutes) and the bus driver will need to park in the designated bus parking area along the inland side of Cabrillo. Please let us know your intended transportation choice when you book.

The Sea Center is adjacent to a beautiful open public area on Stearns Wharf and food is available for purchase from other wharf merchants (no food is available at the Sea Center). You are also welcome to bring your own picnic but please be aware that the picnic area is open to the public and available on a first come, first served basis.

Of course! The Sea Center Store has great toys and gifts for all price ranges. Youth guests must be chaperoned and visit in groups of 10 or fewer. Depending on the group size there may be a time limit. Please time appropriately with bus pickup.

The Sea Center has two levels and an elevator. All exhibits are accessible for wheelchairs; however, the Sea Center does not have wheelchairs available for guest use. Learn more on our accessibility page.

Unless the number in your group increases or decreases drastically, there is no need to contact us. To receive the group discount, a minimum of 10 people are required and a maximum of 30 people are allowed.

We strongly suggest one adult chaperone for every five youth guests.
