Science Pub from Home: The Cascading Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Wildlife

At Zoom

September 13, 2021 / 6:30 PM–7:30 PM

Join National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) and UC Santa Barbara Postdoctoral Researcher Kaitlyn Gaynor, Ph.D., as she discusses the complex socio-ecological dynamics linking people, wildlife, and ecosystems experiencing the shock of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has placed the relationship between humans and wildlife under a global spotlight. By studying how human-wildlife interactions changed in the strange circumstances of 2020, we can better tease apart these complex dynamics and plan for more effective wildlife conservation and management in the future.

Join our fun and friendly conversation, and quench your thirst for knowledge about science and nature. Like our real-life venue Dargan’s, this Zoom webinar is free, but has limited capacity.
