Lunch & Learn Webinar: Don’t Get Scammed – Safeguard Against Fraud
At Zoom
There’s a growing crime in America – financial abuse from fraud and scams. In 2022, over 82,000 victims over the age of 60 reported losses of almost $3.1 billion to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. Retiring baby boomers and other seniors are increasingly becoming targets for financial abuse and fraudsters are using new tactics to take advantage of the growing number of older Americans. Knowing the common schemes and steps to protect yourself and your loved ones is critical in fraud prevention.
This free webinar is presented by the Museum’s Planned Giving Advisory Council and features Montecito Bank & Trusts’ Director of MClub Maria McCall, Executive VP and Chief Strategy Officer Megan Orloff, and Senior VP and Wealth Strategist Suzi Schomer, who will share information and resources to help protect you and those you care about most from fraud and scams. While the number of scams may be on the rise, hear from the experts about the warning signs of financial abuse, types of scams, what to look for, and how to avoid being a victim.
