World Oceans Day Festival
The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center—in collaboration with marine biologists at UCSB—is offering free admission to the Sea Center for the World Oceans Day Festival on Saturday, June 8. Participate in marine-themed activities using the World Oceans Day passport, and meet local marine scientists and artists showcasing research on climate change impacts and marine ecosystems around the world.
In collaboration with World Oceans Day, UCSB, Dr. Gretchen Hofmann and the Hofmann Lab, CINMS, REEF, Stier Lab, Surfrider Santa Barbara Chapter, Channelkeeper, LTER, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Coast Guard Blackfin.

Get Hooked
Join Surfrider at 9:00 AM to participate in their beach cleanup at East Beach in celebration of World Oceans Day. Meet near the restrooms by the bus loop at the foot of Stearns Wharf, at the intersection of State St. and Cabrillo St. Surfrider will provide instructions, buckets, and gloves before the cleanup. After the cleanup, check out their table at the Sea Center during the World Oceans Day festival from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM!
