Elaine Gibson

Elaine Gibson embodies a passion for reconnecting children to nature and sharing the wonder of the natural world. With degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Psychology, Gibson has worked toward a better life for children and families for over four decades. As a Nature Education Specialist at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History she pioneered the Outdoor Nature Education program, the Museum Backyard, and the Nature Club House. She also serves on the Board of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and is an active docent at both institutions. Elaine Gibson resides in Santa Barbara with her husband Dr. Jerry Gibson, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UCSB.
