The Gladwin Planetarium is the only planetarium on the Central Coast that features live, multimedia shows. You can tour the constellations of the night sky, fly through the Milky Way galaxy, and explore the surface of the Moon.

1:00 PM - Kids’ Space Adventure
You drive the show with your questions! Yearning to learn about space? Tap the expertise of our Astronomy presenters and drive the show with your questions during this live interactive presentation.
Run Time: 30 minutes

2:00 PM - What’s Up
Get a close-up view of the sun through our state-of-the-art telescopes in the Palmer Observatory, then discuss the current night sky during a live interactive presentation in the Gladwin Planetarium.
Run Time: 40 minutes

3:00 PM - Universe: User’s Guide - Astrology
What do the planets, stars, and constellations have in store for you today? Guess what: it has nothing to do with when you were born! Explore astrology and astronomy with our expert presenters to learn about the intertwined histories of this ancient and imaginative view of the cosmos and the science that allows astronomers to accurately forecast cosmic events.
Run Time: 30 minutes

WEEKENDS

11:00 AM - Twinkle, Twinkle for Little Stars
Learn about comets, planets, constellations, and more in this live presentation designed for families with very young children.
Run Time: 15 minutes

1:00 PM - ExoPlanets
With the discovery in 1995 of the first planet orbiting another star, we now know that planets are not unique to our own Solar System. In fact, these “extrasolar” planets now appear to be quite common. From water worlds to molten landscapes, inhabitable moons to planets with multiple suns, these exotic worlds aren’t just science fiction anymore!
Age appropriateness: 5 and Up
