All volunteers begin their time as Exhibit Interpreters working alongside staff on the Sea Center floor. Volunteers educate visitors about local marine animals and facilitate hands-on, marine science-based activities. New volunteers will shadow other experienced volunteers and/or staff until they feel comfortable interpreting at a station on their own. Once volunteers have completed the 4-month or 48-hour minimum requirement as an Exhibit Interpreter, they are welcome to apply for other advanced positions at the Sea Center.
