Plastic Bags are Sea Jelly Imposters

Floating plastic bags appear very similar to sea jellies, such as the local Moon jellies featured in our upcoming JELLIES exhibit, and are often mistaken for food by other marine animals. Many thousands of marine animals die each year from ingestion of or entanglement in plastic debris. By using a reusable bag and recycling the plastic bags you have, you can reduce the number of plastic bags that pollute our oceans and threaten marine life.
