Talking about race and racial differences isn’t easy. Scientific understanding of human variation is beginning to challenge “racial” differences, and even question the very concept of race. We invite you to explore these ideas as you experience the RACE exhibit.

I AM A STORY
with Heidi Durrow

Heidi Durrow, the New York Times best-selling author of The Girl Who Fell From the Sky (Algonquin Books), presents a reading from her book and talks about the state of multiracial America. Durrow’s debut novel, chosen by Barbara Kingsolver for the Bellwether Prize for Literature of Social Change, discusses how through story we can break down divides between different races and cultures.
