Patricia Sadeghian has worked in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology since 1997. Her research focuses on taxonomy, prevalence, and natural history of nemertean worms (Hoplonemertea: Carcinonemertidae) that are symbiotic on decapod crustaceans. She has published works on Carcinonemertes, land snails, and crustaceans.
Patricia is involved with collection management, cataloging, photography, and publication production. She was the photographer for Bivalve Seashells of Western North America and Bivalve Seashells of Tropical West America. Patricia is also involved with numerous community outreach programs and science education. She has consulted for several children's books and has served as an instructor for the Museum's teen science program, Quasars to Sea Stars.
