Dennis Power

Dennis M. Power, Ph.D., had the privilege of being Executive Director of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History from 1972 to 1994. He received bachelors and masters degrees in biology from Occidental College and a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Kansas. Prior to his time at our museum, he served in a curatorial position at the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto. He left Santa Barbara to be Executive Director of the Oakland Museum of California and following that was President of Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach. Leslie and Dennis returned to Santa Barbara in 2011.
