Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History is delighted to announce a very special Poet-in-Residence program featuring five of the Santa Barbara City Poets Laureate:

  • Sojourner Kincaid Rolle                Feb-March
  • David Starkey                             April-May
  • Perie Longo                                 June-July
  • Paul Willis                                   August-September
  • Chryss Yost                                 October-November

Poets-in-Residence will create poetry inspired by the Museum’s exhibits and magnificent natural setting and host poetry readings and poetry writing workshops. At the end of the year, a capstone reception and reading will present the works of all of the Poets-in-Residence to the community.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Centennial Year Poets-in-Residence program is generously sponsored by Nancy Gifford, Chaucer’s Books and Captured Spirit Photography.
